The DCG portal is a Software as a service (SaS) solution, which means you can be up and running in a short amount of time (days) with a low up front cost and then pay a monthly fee as you go. The monthly fee is based on number of users and customization requirements, if any. Unlike most SaS solutions, DCG Portal is highly customizable to meet your specific needs. You can easily grant Portal access to the audience of your choosing with your logo/identity and color scheme, making it transparent to users when logging in from an existing web site. Contact Management

Easily manage your companies and contacts among your team or a subset of your team. If you choose, you can access them via BlackBerry. When managing these contacts you can determine whether you want them to have access to your Portal or not. If yes, you can easily set what modules they have access to without any technical expertise. Your Portal is easily customizable to include any fields specific to your company or industry. Reports are also highly customizable. Importing/Exporting of data or setup of feeds can be modified to meet your needs.

Task & Project Management

This component is something Durkan Consulting Group uses as our method for managing work. You can easily create and assign tasks ranging from small to large efforts. Information generally entered when creating a task includes: title, category, next action date, assignees, trackers, comments, attachments, etc. Assignees are notified via email and can login and update the task accordingly. Rather than an endless string of emails, the Tasks component of the DCG Portal allows you to create a central repository for all comments/files/information regarding a specific task or project and available to an audience of your choosing. You can easily view/filter tasks based on client, assignee, etc. Easily update multiple tasks at the same time.

Document Library

Easily add and share documents with your Portal team. When creating or adding file(s) to the library you can specify title, category, synopsis, etc. When users access the library they see a folder menu identical to that of native Microsoft Windows Explorer that is easy to navigate and download documents. This is an ideal way to share commonly accessed files among your team members. As with all components of the DCG portal, you can easily limit access to certain documents. You can also setup/control the tree navigation structure.

Blog Feeds

Blogs are everywhere. It seems like everyone has one. Reputable blogs related to a specific niche that you specialize in, or your industry, have value, yet the information is free. DCG Portal allows you to easily subscribe to blogs that become part of your feed within the Portal. All team members can access and you can determine which blog entries are "keepers" and other entries are automatically deleted after a specified. You are left with a central repository of the latest entries from your chosen bloggers and a "best of" which your Portal members can easily search and access from within the Portal. Many blogs are unimportant, but you can be sure there are some in your corner of the world that hold a wealth of information.  You might not know about them, but you can have access to them using DCG's portal.

Team Blog

This differs from blog feeds in that it is an internal only blog for your Portal team members only. You can share ideas/information and allow Portal members to easily add comments.

Team Calendar

Add entries to your Portal calendar with a double click. Allowing your team to view and add to related events, calls and meetings.

Team Directory

Your Portal users can manage their own profiles, fields include name, email, password, address, phone/fax numbers, and any custom fields required (e.g. areas of expertise). They can add a picture or avatar if they wish and choos e what information they want to include in the Portal directory. Portal members can easily access the directory for contact information.

Application Administration

With the DCG Portal you are in control. You can easily grant and restrict access, you can also manage routing rules, keywords, and various other configurations. If you know how to use a web browser you can administer your portal.
